Chatham REA (CREA) is an active organization of retired educators who fellowship with other retirees, serve Chatham County communities through worthwhile projects, and support those communities through a variety of volunteer efforts.
Chatham REA is a member of GREA who represents retired educators at the state level. GREA has a representative serving on the Teachers Retirement System Board of Directors, has a statewide legislative committee that monitors legislation affecting retirees, and maintains a year-round lobbyist to represent the interests of retired educators. Members of GREA are afforded the opportunity of benefits such as lower rates on dental and vision insurance, long-term care insurance, and travel opportunities to name a few. GREA Website
